Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Will my journal look exactly like the product photo?
    • Because every piece is handcrafted and uses upcycled elements, slight unique variations will occur, making your specific journal entirely one-of-a-kind.
  • What kind of upcycled ingredients do you use?
    • We creatively repurpose high-quality materials such as vintage book covers, remnant fabrics, manufacturing offcuts, and sustainable papers that would otherwise go to waste.
  • What is Japanese book binding, and is it durable?
    • It is a traditional, centuries-old stab-binding technique where the pages are sewn securely through the spine by hand. We use high-strength, waxed linen threads to ensure excellent durability for everyday handling.
  • Do these journals lay completely flat when open?
    • Traditional Japanese stab-bindings are naturally firmer near the spine due to the exposed external stitching; however, our flexible sewing style allows them to open comfortably for easy writing and sketching.
  • How long does it take to ship handcrafted journals?
    • Ready-to-ship items typically go out within 2–3 business days.
